Medpho Team May 1, 2023

Ayushman Bharat Yojana or PMJAY is an Indian government healthcare project aimed at improving the well-being of the poor. It consists of two major health-related initiatives: Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).

More than 10 crore families are covered by the PMJAY scheme, which provides health insurance worth 5 lakhs. The initiative guarantees cashless care at both government and private hospitals that have been accredited. Furthermore, costly surgery such as coronary bypass, knee replacements, and other procedures are also covered. The PMJAY scheme's main benefit is that it provides financial security in the event of unforeseen calamities. So, let's look at the PMJAY eligibility criteria.
